Millions Of Kids In India Can’t Afford To Go To School – You Can Change That
One of our fondest memories is that of our school days. School is often where we form our first close friendships. Shared experiences, inside jokes, and the comfort of belonging to a group create a warmth that can last a lifetime.
But not every child is lucky enough to go to school. Their days are spent in crowded tea stalls or noisy factories where they struggle for a morsel of food. They beg at traffic signals and rummage through garbage to fill their stomachs. The path to education seems a distant dream, replaced by the harsh realities of daily survival.
These young minds deserve to live a life of happiness and dignity.
Even after 75 years of independence, India still battles deep-rooted issues like poverty, hunger, and homelessness. Countless children are in no condition to attend school. They barely have enough to eat — let alone afford books or school bags.
While our Constitution promises free and compulsory education till the age of 14, the reality is far from ideal. At the grassroots level, children are robbed of their childhood, working in tea stalls, selling pens at traffic lights, or picking rags in slums.
“It is sad when you see 5-6 year-olds working in a tea shack or selling pens by the roadside. And when we ask them if they want to go to school, they innocently ask us how will they carry their books — because, in place of a school bag, all they have are tatters and rags…”

This is where you can step in.
Be the Reason a Child Smiles
Through GoodSamaritans Giving Foundation and its on-ground NGO partner, you can bring hope into a child's life. With your support, these children can go to school, learn, grow, and eventually build a future for themselves.
All it takes is a small donation. A single school bag can be the beginning of a brand new life.
Your donated school bags will be distributed to underprivileged and marginalized children across India. Each bag will help a child take one more step toward a brighter, dignified, and educated future.
Our Partner NGO: Parhitkari Foundation
Parhitkari Foundation works tirelessly to uplift children from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing access to education and basic school supplies. Based in rural India, their grassroots initiatives have already impacted hundreds of children from tribal and Dalit communities who had little to no access to education.
Donate Now – Be Their Hero
Your donation isn’t just a school bag — it’s a symbol of hope. It's the reason a child gets to sit in a classroom instead of on a street.
